For the first time, Auto Trends with JeffCars.com, the only weekly syndicated multicultural automotive program in North America, is talking to two Black pioneering households, who have owned multiple electric vehicles, both new and used.

Dr. Reggie Tucker-Seely and Dr. India Calhoun Williams, who are based in California and Georgia, respectively are considered early adopters in the electric vehicle movement. Close to 2 Million Tires On The Road Today Are Defective, Is Yours?

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, investigators said that for the 3.2 million tires recalled from 2009-2013, the recall completion rate was only 44 percent; this rate includes tires no longer in service. In a typical tire recall, the NTSB said, only about 20 percent of affected tires are returned to the manufacturer. By contrast, about 78 percent of vehicles recalled due to other defects are eventually serviced.

Currently, there is a uniform system in place for consumers or tire dealers to determine if their tire has been recalled. To find out more detail, click here.
