2017 Buicks Rolling In Near Luxury Lane: The LaCrosse, The Envision And The Encore

Buick Highlights: The Buick brand, which is slotted between the Cadillac and Chevy brands, has delivered over 1-million vehicles globally during the first three quarters of the year, up 23 percent from this same time period in 2015. Just in the U. S. alone, sales are up 11 percent.

Ironically, during GM’s turbulent bankruptcy years, Pontiac, Saturn and Hummer were all axed. However, based upon the near luxury brand sales success in China, where they rank as the second largest passenger car brand, it is quite obvious why Buick circumvented the chopping block.  So, with a slew of new products arriving for 2017, Buick sales should continue to rise.

Buick Encore: The Brand’s First Luxury Compact Crossover

A New Addition to the Buick Brand
The Buick Encore is the latest vehicle to join the luxury brand’s line up. Now Buick has a luxury compact crossover to compliment the super popular seven-passenger Enclave, which helped to revive the Buick brand several years ago.

The five-passenger Encore is a segment buster. Buick has created an entirely new segment with this vehicle. The Encore is about the same size as the Nissan JUKE. Unlike the JUKE, this Encore offers premium class features. The Encore is designed for folks looking for a vehicle that is about the same height of a luxury sports utility, but in a more manageable, compact package. Like all Buicks, the Encore contains a waterfall grille, chrome accents and Buick’s signature portholes on the hood.
