Toyota’s signature infotainment screen requires a subscription……..
The mammoth size Tundra competes in a segment that has been a stronghold for the Detroit Three: GM, Ford and Stellantis. American truck loyalists prefer their Fords, Chevys, GMCs and RAMs.
Although Toyota has upped the ante with this generations' Tundra in terms of styling, towing, cargo carrying, bed sizes and features, the truck lacks a diesel and a pure V8 engine. To some diehard loyalists, this places the ever-capable Tundra at a disadvantage.
Despite Toyota's powerful 6-cylinder hybrid max powertrain, there are some traditional truck buyers who must have an 8-cylinder or a diesel. And Toyota realizes such.
Yet, for those that don't see those powertrains as a sticking point, they'll find that the Tundra, which is also available in a variety of cab sizes, is a well-built truck that is really competitive with its 'Detroit fullsize truck brotherns.' Toyota engineering team has even added a factory lift kit to attract truck buyers.
