Despite the Ioniq 5 only being eligible for the Inflation Reduction
Act via leasing, helping to reduce the price by $7,500, its still worth considering.
In fact, with technology on electric vehicles changing as fast as smartphones,
we would recommend leasing as opposed to financing or paying cash. Thus, the
price reduction will reduce the overall monthly payment too.
The midsize-like Ioniq 5 is a roomy five-seater. When this hatchback-like
crossover first appeared on our radar in 2022, we immediately became a fan.
This year’s model continues to improve favorability with us, enhancing both extended
range and towing with the all-wheel drive configurations.
Moreover, the stylish Ioniq 5 is available in a rear-wheel
drive or an all-wheel drive configuration. The spunky vehicle shares a platform
with Kia’s EV6 and Genesis’ GV60. It's the most economical of the trio. And depending on the trim, the vehicle can be outfitted with a
360-degree camera to a 20-inch wheels to a parallel and perpendicular parking
assist system.
Lastly, the Ioniq 5 driving range spans from 220 to 303
miles, depending on the trim.
Competition:
Ford Mustang Mach-E and Kia EV6
