The Latest Consumer Buying Trend: Five Year Analysis Of SUV, Crossover, Trucks And Van Sales

As consumers taste for sedans, coupes and hatchbacks have waned over the past five years, according to U. S. registered new vehicles sales, SUVs, crossovers, light duty trucks and vans have been capturing the heart and driveways of today's drivers.

And this trend seems to be continuing as we roll into 2017. Consumers in the market for cars should be able to grab some unbelievable deals, as the automakers and dealers are being forced to balance out their inventory to meet consumers shift toward non car-type vehicles.

Some analyst believe this trend will continue even if gas prices rise again to the $4.00 to $5.00 a gallon range.
