The much anticipated J.D. Power 2014 Initial Quality Study was released, which measures the feedback of over 86,000 customers who purchased a brand-new during their first 90 days of ownership. The studies were conducted between February and May 2014. The survey measures everything from how the vehicle performs to the operation of today's sometimes difficult infotainment systems to if the heating/ventilation system works properly.

Ironically, despite GM's bevy of recalls, they received six model level awards, with Hyundai-Kia following right behind them with a total of five model level awards. Today's chart focus on the top three car models per segment.
