New York Int'l Auto Show Preview: Hyundai Santa Cruz, Hyundai Tuscon And Kia K4

 

Hyundai Tuscon sharpens its exterior and interior styling with its mid-cycle update.

The 2025 Hyundai Tuscon will be available as a hybrid and a plug-in.

Kia makes a name change, dropping the Forte and replacing it with the K4.

New York Int'l Auto Show Debuts:Genesis Essentia Concept And Cadillac XT4

Genesis halo concept vehicle, the Essentia, is a high performance, all-electric vehicle.

Notice the Genesis Quad Lights and the Crest Grille, which was first introduced on the GV80 Concept, a large SUV/crossover.

Caddy's answer to Audi's Q3, the XT4, which arrives this fall.

New York Int'l Auto Show Debuts: VW's Concept Truck

VW is toying around with the adding a midsize truck. As of now, VW is referring to concept as the Tanoak.

The concept truck is based on an extended wheelbase Atlas.

A removable cargo rail over the bed is the newest innovative feature that could be making its way to the midsize truck segment. The last time VW offered a pickup was with the Rabbit in the 80s.

New York Int'l Auto Show: Lincoln Aviator

The Aviator name returns, after being tabled in 2005. The vehicle goes on sale in 2019.

The stylish three-passenger row Aviator shares a platform with the Ford Explorer.

The Lincoln Aviator will be available as a plug-in hybrid. 

New York Int'l Auto Show: Nissan Altima

The 2019 Altima now wears the face of the brand. The vehicle will now be able to detect stationary objects, when backing up.

The Altima joins the Subaru Legacy, becoming the only two cars in the midsize segment to offer all-wheel drive.

The Altima follows the Mazda6, offering a standalone infotainment screen.  The vehicle goes on sale this fall.  And like the all-electric LEAF, the Altima will be a self-driving tool ProPilot Assist.

New York Int'l Auto Show: Kia K900

The 2019 Kia K900 shares a platform with Genesis flagship vehicle the G90.

The interior layout is somewhat different than the Genesis. The gauges reflect the authenticity of the brand as well as the  standalone infotainment display screen.

The second generation K900 is slated to go on sale during the fourth quarter of 2019. And the same 3.3-liter engine, which produces 365-horsepower, in the sporty Stinger will be available in the brand's flagship.

New York In't Auto Show Debuts: 2019 Lexus UX; 2019 Toyota RAV4, & 2019 Subaru Forester

The 2019 Lexus UX, which will be powered by a 290-horsepower engine, will be available in two trims. A hybrid model will be available.

The 2019 RAV4 wears a more bulkier athletic look. 

The 2019 Subaru Forester is larger by all appearance, but its no mistaken that the vehicle is true to its roots.

NYIAS: Lexus RX

The 2016 Lexus RX mimics the entry-level NX. There could be plans to add a third row seating area.

NYIAS: Cadillac CT6 And Chevy Malibu

The 2016 Caddy CT6, the brand's new flagship.

The 2016 Chevy Malibu will be available as a hybrid too!
