Verdict: Previously we reviewed the value oriented base model SE Ioniq 6 with an extended range. Thus, this time around we spent a week behind the wheel of the well-equipped Limited AWD with the extended range.

Unlike the SE model we reviewed, the Limited enhanced our driving experience in this roomy midsize EV, which offers an air of sophistication because of its sloping trunk. The Limited offer such features as a 320-horsepower motor, 20-inch stylish wheels, a Bose audio system, an oversize sunroof and a heated steering wheel.

On the other hand, while the SE trim offers less horsepower, a smaller motor, 18-inch wheels, the sedan we tested, with the extended range inked out 400 miles on a full charge. Our Limited AWD with the extended range was only able to garner about 302 miles on a charge. Thus, while the driving range fail short of the SE, it still exceeds most of the EVs on the road today.

Overall, whether buyers select the SE and/or the Limited trim, they're bound to make a great decision. Its just a matter of how much the consumer wants to stretch in terms of their budget to get the features they want.

Competition: Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2
