What’s New: For the 2020 model year, Dodge continues to up the ante with performance sedans, adding Widebody versions of the Scat Pack and the Hellcat.

Why: Dodge’s fastest fullsize sedan, which comfortably seats five, is capable of zooming from 0 to 60-mph in under 4 seconds.

The 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is a no compromise family sedan. Not only is the vehicle able to comfortably accommodate five occupants, this muscle sedan is capable of doing it with the brand's superimposed HEMI V-8, spewing out a whopping 707-horsepower.

Dodge's latest pocket rocket literally growls upon start up, especially in the morning waking all the neighbors up. The heavy engine, with its hood scoop, side vents, dual circular tailpipes and 20-inch wide wheels and red Bembro brakes, shows that this mean machine is always ready for action.

In fact, when pulling away from a traffic stop, the four door sedan sounds like a jet taking off from a landing strip. There are moments, when the driver becomes one with the accelerator and they immediately become thankful for the seat back and seat belts due to the rush they experience from all of the power. Yes, like a jet rapidly rolling down the runway, at a rapid speed and preparing for take off, being behind the wheel of this Hellcat Widebody provides the same effect, as both throws one in their seat's.

Moreover, as we've emphasized, this family sedan is not only street legal, but it’s also capable of gobbling up racing tracks too. The Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, which is all-new for the 2020 model year, wears stiffer springs, larger sway bars and retuned shocks, in order to optimize the vehicle's performance. This is definitely not your father's Dodge.

Furthermore, this Dodge has been infused with all of the latest safety features too, helping to minimize a collision - from an electronic blindspot system to a rear parking assist system.

Lastly, the infotainment system is easy to operate and the seats are supportive too. This is one family sedan that will leave its mark on the large vehicle segment.

But: Its so much power under the hood, a Heads Up Display (HUD) should be a standard feature on the vehicle. Also this big body sports car should be available in black or red leather. The optional tan seats were a total mismatch. Come on interior team! For the $79,320 price tag, the interior designer can take this vehicle to another level.

And, for true driving enthusiast, its too bad this powerhouse sedan is not available with a manual transmission.

Verdict: At a time, where cars no longer seem relevant, as consumers gravitate toward crossovers, trucks and SUVs, the design and engineering team at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have managed to electrify the large sedan (and large coupe segment too), offering a variety of powertrains and color schemes, keeping it both fresh and relevant.

And, for those seeking a the two-door version of this hellish Charger, they can turn to the Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Competition: Hmm, can't think of any!
