Guest: Bill Chapin, whose the president of the Automotive Hall of Fame, grandfather was one of the founders of Hudson Motor Company. Hudson Motor Company was absorbed by American Motor Company and then Chrysler.

Hudson's grandson takes our listeners on a fascinating journey, sharing his family connection to pioneering the automotive industry to identifying many of the trailblazers and inductees that have been honored by the Automotive Hall Of Fame, since its establishment in 1939. 

Chapin, who is an automotive historian, wraps up our conversation talking about the Michigan-based Automotive Hall Of Fame Museum, and its upcoming move to the heartbeat of the auto industry - downtown Detroit.

Guest: Ed Welburn is the most influential black designer of his time. Prior to Welburn's retirement in 2016, he granted us a two-part radio interview. For the first time, we're reairing what we consider to be the highlights of our conversation.

Welburn stepped into this field in the early 70s, becoming the second black car designer in the industry and the first at General Motors. Welburn takes us on an intimate journey of his 44-year history at General Motors, discussing the highs and lows of his career, as well as his meeting with President Obama. Because of his creative gift and management style, Welburn generated billions of dollars for General Motors, while also creating a great lifestyle for many of the automakers employees, dealers, suppliers and the like.
