GM Recalls Saturns Over Rollaway Concerns

Vehicle Affected:

2007-2008 Saturn Aura

Number of Vehicles Affected: 56,214

Manufacturer: General Motors

Concern: In vehicles equipped with a 4-speed transmission, the shift cable may break. If this occurs the driver will not be able to shift the lever to the PARK position and/or remove the ignition key. Thus, this could cause the vehicle to roll, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Resolution: GM plans on notifying customers as to when they plan on replacing the shift assembly and mounting bracket free of charge. For more details, contact 1-800-553-6000.
