(Video Interview) GM's Highest Ranking African American Female Executive Tells JeffCars What Fuels Her

The Editor with GM's Alicia Boler-Davis

According to Automotive News, an industry trade magazine, twenty months ago, Alicia Boler-Davis was an assembly plant manager at General Motors. Today, the 44-year-old is one of the company's top 20 executives, reporting straight to CEO Dan Akerson (or now Mary Barra, GM's and the auto industry first female CEO to oversee a major automaker).
As senior vice president for global quality and customer experience, Davis oversees 2,500 employees and has a voice on everything from future products to the setup of GM's call centers.
We caught up with Davis and Jocelyn Allen, another high ranking executive official at GM. We took a few moment to ask Davis a few question, while at this year's North American International Auto Show. Many industry insiders have also quietly pegged Davis as the first African American that could become CEO of a major automaker.
