Rent-A-Car By The Hour Arrives At Black College Campus

Zipcar, which allows one to rent by the hour, has made its way to the Atlanta University Center, the nation's largest black campus. What a novel idea for college students. After speaking with a young Morehouse brother, who on his way to an Easter worship service, I realized this service is needed outside of cities like New York, where most folks don't own a ride.

Students are able to reserve a vehicle to rent online at a significant discount. Gas and insurance are included in the hourly fee. Well, for the college students who is either cash-strapped and can't afford a vehicle or has no need to make a major investment in a vehicle, this is a great alternative, as long as the vehicle isn't being kept for more than a few hours at time. In that case, it may make sense to go to a rental car agency for a daily, weekly or weekend deal. Or better yet, consider buying an affordable used vehicle.
