Surprise Findings: Four Luxury Imports Fail New Gov't Safety Test

Does car crash safety tests really matter? Well, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), it does. In fact, they've added a new test, which they refer to as the new small overlap frontal crash test. Take a moment to check out the video. And then view the list, clicking here, seeing which 2012 midsize premium luxury vehicles passed and failed the test. Other segments will be released in the near future.

"This new test program is based on years of analyzing real-world frontal crashes and then replicating them in our crash test facility to determine how people are being seriously injured and how cars can be designed to protect them better. We think this is the next step in improving frontal crash protection," according to the IIHS.

Hmm, it's pretty surprising that only a few luxury cars passed the crash test. Luxury cars should be walking the talk when it comes to safety, especially with the high regard people have of these cars. But we need not worry that much because I’m sure these car companies will come back a lot better.

Tyra

You can see in this video that even most of us think that even the best car in the world can fail in safety crash tests. We need to look out for these safety measures when choosing a car because accidents can happen anytime and anywhere. We should pick the car that can really give us nothing but the best in safety and protection.
