Three Pre-Bankruptcy Vehicles We Want to See Again

The $20,000 plus Saturn Sky was GM's answer to the Mazda Miata. Although the Saturn brand no longer exists, we believe this well-built, fun-to-drive vehicle should return as a Chevy.

This James Bond-type vehicle was only in production for a moment, before the Pontiac division was giving the boot. This hard-top coupe was a sibling to the Sky. GM should consider returning this vehicle to the line up. There isn't a vehicle in GM's line up that fills this niche.

Now that Chrysler is on track again the automaker should consider re-adding the Dodge Magnum to the line up. Even Acura is getting in the game with a version of  TSX coming in 2011. Dodge's  popular wagon was a spin-off the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. How much would it really cost for the automaker to revive the nameplate? Not much!

It's been almost two years since both GM and Chrysler were forced to seek a bailout package from the American government to help keep the companies afloat. Not only were the companies forced to rightsize its workforce, but also eliminate several brands: Hummer, Pontiac and Saturn. While Chrysler didn't eliminate any brands in their last round of pre-bankruptcy cuts, they were forced to send a few vehicles to car heaven. Now that both companies are back on track here are three vehicles that should rejoin the line up. Maybe we should start a Facebook campaign. Is that how 88-year old Betty White landed a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live?
