Almost two years ago, JeffCars.com's editor, Jeff Fortson, wrote a personal commentary for Tom Joyner's BlackAmericaWeb.com on why we should save the U. S. auto industry. Fortson also appeared on CNN and NPR discussing his commentary. At the time, many critics believed investing in the U. S. auto industry would leave taxpayers holding the bag, if the American car makers couldn't turn their bloated companies around. Ironically, almost two years later GM is expected to announce its largest IPO in the history of the stock market today. Take a few moments to check out this commentary from two years ago:
