The editor's one-on-one interview with McConnell
Rob McConnell is one of Toyota's hidden talents. The 35-year old Michigan-based senior designengineer works at Toyota Technical Center.Yes, he's a senior engineer in his thirties. Just imagine where he'll be in a decade.
Now, while most of us are familiar with car designers, we're not with engineers, as it relates to their roles in designing a vehicle. McConnell is the man that is responsible for turning any concept vehicle into reality (or in layman terms to our driveways). In the case of the 2013 Toyota Avalon, McConnell served as the lead engineer. Without folks like McConnell, we would not see many of the vehicles that are currently on the road today.
Now that you know more about McConnell's role. Take a moment to check out our initial review of the sexy Avalon, clicking here. Look for a more extensive review of the redesigned Toyota in the near future.
