Detroit's North American International Auto Show: Genesis, Kia, Volvo And Infiniti

Hyundai shows they are serious about luxury. Genesis is the name of their all-new luxury division, which will go head-to-head with such established brands as Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The new flagship vehicle, which goes head-to-head with the BMW 7-Series and the Lexus LS, is the G90. The G90 replaces the Hyundai Equus. The stately G90 will have three engine choices. The G90 will be available in a rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive configuration. The vehicles will be fully equipped with all of the latest safety driving features as standard features, while also providing home pick-up/drop-off vehicle delivery car care services. Andre Hudson, the Korean automaker's first black designer, design theme for the G90 concept was selected by the Korean automaker to shape the main theme of the stately exterior of the all-new G90. Hudson was responsible for designing the 2011 and 2015 Sonatas.

Kia shows the fun side with a drop top two-door Optima convertible. We're not sure if this will make it to the market. Oh yeah, the vehicle has suicide doors. Yes, doors that open in the opposite direction, back to front.
The larger and more luxurious Volvo S90 becomes the brands new flagship, replacing the slow-selling S80. The vehicle is slated to competed with the BMW 5-Series and the Acura RLX.

Infiniti replaces the G37, with the all-new Q60 coupe, which will be powered by new powertrains. Based upon the trim selected, the Q60 will kick-out either 300 to 400 horses from underneath the hood.
